I also travel to inner landscapes, and to imaginary, magical lands ... while I paint them. Here is where I apply a process I describe as "Chaos-based" painting - a free-flowing expression of my imagination, accessed from a deliberate emptying of any imagined final outcome. I let myself create completely. I engage in processes best understood through the language of Jungian psychology. The anima and animus, in Carl Jung's school of analytical psychology, are the two primary anthropomorphic archetypes of the unconscious mind. The anima is the female archetype in the male psyche. I often search for this contact in my paintings. For a description of the kind of process that accompanies a painting, read "The making of Pax Tibi, Marce"
